Good Morning Mary, indeed, I do have Sarah Bennett and Eli Jay in my family tree. I am further down the line removed from the common ancestor. Your John Bennett was a brother to my GGGGGG Grandmother, Elizabeth (Betsy) Bennett, who married George Washington Stumbo. In descendancy, it looks like this:

Joshua Bennett m. Margaret Cumming (4 children)

Joshua Bennett II m. Margaret Danner (4 children)

Joshua Bennett III (father to John and Elizabeth as well as 12 other children) m. Sarah James

Elizabeth Bennett (same gen. as John, of course)m. George Washington Stumbo (8 children)

Sarah Stumbo m. James Miller (15 children)

Nancy Ann Miller m. Joseph Miller (8 children)

Elmira Miller m. Daniel Franklin Stickler (5 ch)

Edith Stickler m. Chris Wickman (2 children)

Frank Wickman m. Ruth Anderson (3 children)

Mary Wickman m. Gus Dostal (2 children)

Shelley Dostal m. John Iserman (1 c)

On your side, all I have is this:

John Bennett m. Nancy Ann Attis (8 children)
Sarah Bennett m. Eli Jay
Thomas Jay m. Ellen McNace

The Bennett family resided in Highland county, Ohio, before moving to Boone

Please let me know if this is accurate.
