Roland Myers, 87, of 614 West Mamie Eisenhower Avenue in Boone, passed away at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa on Sunday evening, January 15, 2012.

Services will be held on Friday morning, January 20 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Boone with Rev. Jerry Bertelson officiating.

Interment with military honors conducted by the Boone Veterans Council will be in the Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone.

Friends may call at the Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone on Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the family present during that time to greet friends. Visitations will continue at the Church on Friday morning from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service.

Those wishing to express their sympathies through a memorial may direct their gift to the First Baptist Church in Boone or Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.
