Bernice M. Walters, 87, of Boone died of complications of a stroke Saturday at Boone County Hospital there. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Central Christian Church in Boone, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Linwood Park Cemetery there.
Mrs. Walters was born in Dana and had lived in Boone County all her life. She was a homemaker and had farmed with her husband. She enjoyed reading.
She is survived by a son, Larry, two daughters, Colleen Pfrimmer and Janet King, and a sister, Margaret Ash, all of Boone; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today at Schroeder Memorial Chapel in Boone, where the family will be present from 7 to 9 p.m. visitation will continue from 8 to 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel, and one hour prior to time of services at the church.
