Carl Detrick Dies After Long-Illness

Vinton: C. Carl Detrick 55. died Saturday evening at 6.45 of heart ailments at the Vinton hospital following a six-month illness. He was born in Eden township on September 15, 1893, and had spent his entire life in this community.

He married Gladys Shaw who survives, at Waterloo on Dec. 24, 1925. Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Hazel Jacobs of Vinton, and a brother, Glenn Detrick of Vinton. A daughter, Helen died in 1935.

Detrick was a member of the Methodist church and the Vinton lodge 62 AF and AM.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. R Park Anderson and the Vinton. Masonic lodge number 62 A F and AM at the Fry-Holland funeral home at 2.30 p. m. Tuesday. Friends may call at the funeral
