Friends of Mr. and Mrs. L. D.
Varney, of Milltown, S. D. have re-
ceived announcement of the birth
of Richard Gault Varney, on, May
27, 1917, weight 7 1-2 pounds. Mrs.
Varney was formerly Miss Carrie
Gault, the charming daughter of
Mrs. Lissa Gault of Exira, while
"Duff" as we knew him, was a
rising young hardware man and
undertaker. Small Richard made a
wise selection in choosing his home
and parents.

Congratulations are in order.
