Dorothy Lee Kessler was born February 13, 1920. The daughter of Chester and Loretta Roberts in Parkersburg, West Virginia. She passed away June 17, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 92. Dorothy married Howard Lynn Kessler February 3, 1937, and was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, her brother and a grandson.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters Marilynn Lee Munera and Katherine Irene Davis, grandchildren Amy Monday, Marianne Edsil, Joanna Davis, Silvia McCoy, great grandchildren Andrew Teel, Michael Archer, Matthew Archer, Emily Edsill, Howard Edsill, and Cael McCoy. She also leaves behind nine nieces, nine nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was a devout and longstanding member of the Presbyterian Church. Her strength of spirit, abundant generosity and sense of adventure allowed her to challenge life to the fullest and she left a lasting impression on all those she encountered along her journey through life, We are all diminished by her passing and we will miss her beyond measure. She requested cremation with graveside services and burial next to her husband of 49 years, in the Highland Cemetery, Mystic, Iowa. Her last wishes will be honored August 18, 2012
