HARVEY COCHRAN, farmer, Sec. 15; P.O. Centerville; born Nov. 4, 1843, in Van Buren Co.; when an infant, came with his parents to Appanoose Co.; he owns 120 acres of land. Married Rebecca McCoy, Jan 28, 1866; she was born in Monroe Co., Ohio; had eight children, six living - Ellen (Ann and Houston are twins), Isabel, George and Lillie. Enlisted in 1862, Co. F, 17th Iowa V.I.; served to the end of the war; was a prisoner in Andersonville six months. Has been township trustee. M.E. Church; Republican.
