We are called upon to chronicle the death of one of the pioneers of Lansing, Henry Botsford, who died Dec. 15, in the 73d year of his age.

Mr. Botsford came here in the fall of '51, when Lansing was a wilderness. He was a hard working, industrious citizen; only a few days ago he was walking upon our streets, but now death has called him, being ripe and full of years.

So passes away another of our early pioneers.
