Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Hein, who passed away at her home in Jefferson township early Saturday morning, June 10, following a two weeks illness, were held at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church at Wheatland last Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial was made in the Wheatland cemetery.

Pall bearers were Herman G. Meyer, Otto Gade, Walter Middendorf, Walter Meyer, William Beneke Jr., and William Gade.

Anna Kruckenberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kruckenberg, was born in Germany Sept. 7, 1870 and when 12 years of age came with her parents to America, settling in Eitzen, Minn.

She was married to Henry Hein Jan. 29, 1893, establishing their home in Jefferson township which has since been her home. To this union 9 children were born, one dying in infancy.

Possessed of a kindly disposition with strong home-loving properties, she won the esteem and affection of a wide circle of friends. She was a member of St. John's Church and the oldest member of the Ladies Aid Society of that church.

Deceased is survived by her husband and eight children, namely: Miss Bertha and Albert, at home; Mrs. Emma Wuennecke, Delta, Wis.; Mrs. Carl (Martha) Salzwedal, Warren, Wis.; Mrs. Paul (Wilhelmina) Meiners, Eitzen, Minn.; Carl Hein, La Crescent, Minn.; Paul Hein, Elmhurst, Ill.; and Martin Hein, Kelse, Wash.; also two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Meyer of New Albin and Miss Emma Kruckenberg, of Eitzen; also 16 grandchildren.
