Mrs. Hannah E. Reed, wife of John Reed, of Waukon, for over twenty years an honored resident of this county, died on Thursday last, of Typhoid Pneumonia, at the advanced age of sixty-one.

Mrs. Reed's last illness was of brief duration, but her sufferings were borne with that spirit of Christian resignation characteristic of her walk through life. Her death was calm and peaceful, and she sank to rest with a consciousness of future bliss.

The funeral took place on Saturday, the remains being interred in the cemetery at Waukon.

She leaves an aged husband, one son, David W., county recorder, and two daughters, Jennie and the wife of Hon. L.E. Fellows of this place, to mourn the loss of a most devoted and affectionate wife and parent.
