Many of my ancestors are buried in Walnut Grove Cemetery, including my great-grandmother Grace Townsend Castillo Schaub. Grace Townsend, daughter of James and Mina Townsend, lived in Adams County for most of her life. She married I.J. Castillo and had three sons, John, James and Joe. After I.J. died in 1934, Grace married Frank Schaub. Grace died in 1976. I am interested in talking to anyone who knew Grace. Although she was my great-grandmother, no one in my immediate family ever met her, probably because of an estrangement between my grandparents and the fact that my grandfather (her son John) died in 1956. I would like to know about Grace and possibly see photos of her. I'm sure she was well known by many people in the Corning area. If you have any information about Grace, please contact me at susan@montagbooks.com.
I'm also interested in any information on my great-great grandmother, Ida Mae Richards Turner, who died in 1913. It would probably be harder to find information about her because she died so long ago. I cannot find an obit in the Adam's County Free Press, which is unusual, as she lived in Adam's county much of her life and her children lived there. I also cannot find out where she is buried. If anyone can help, please contact me at susan@montagbooks.com
