1935
Our six months of school closed on February first. In
spite of the cold weather six pupils have been neither
absent nor tardy this last period. They are: Oliver
Hermeier, Leo Klocke, Bennie Fiet, Galadys Hermeier,
Bernita Klocke and Alice Hermeier.
We are sorry that we lost one of our pupils, Helen
Kostman, who has moved to Postville.
Our blackboards are decorated with sleds and dogs at
present.
Calvin Kostman of the first grade has just completed the
Beacon First Reader. He is now reading Good Times On The
Farm.

We are busy decorating our room for Thanksgiving. We plan
to entertain Ludlow No. 8 at a Thanksgiving party.
Kittenball has been the big entertainment in this period.
We have played five games. Our team has crossed the plate
83 times, our opponents only 68.
Our school program was October 20. We gave a play,
"The Ghost Chaser." The young people of
districts Nos. 7 and 8 gave another play at the Waukon
Opera House, Nov. 23.
Our recent visitors are: Darlene and Mary Ann Klocke,
