Ludlow No. 6 school notes
Our school opened after a most enjoyable vacation - January 6th. Our school has an attendance of five pupils and everyone was present, eager to start the New Year out right. The first half of our school year ended December sixth.
We have four girls and boys who have been neither absent nor tardy since school started. They are Lorna Mae Nolte, Joy Brittain, June Hanke and Norman Miller.
Those who have their names on the dental honor roll are June Hanke, Lorna Mae Nolte and Miss Koth.
Darlene Betty Westerhoem, the little first grade pupil in our school, has mastered four pre-primers and is doing nicely in the first of her primer books. Our third and fourth grades have almost finished the work in their language books, so we are having extra work at writing stories, friendly letters, making a diary and many other interesting things. The first and second grades enjoy learning new poems and working out little dramatizations in language class.
We were very glad most of the mothers were able to attend our Christmas program. We hope they will step in and visit us more often. We also wish to thank all those who helped to make the program we had in December a success. From the money received we have purchased some equipment.

Our school room, after being thoroughly cleaned, opened its doors August tenth for us to commence our studies for another year. The beginners are Dale and Calvin Kiesau.
We are busy collecting pictures for our farm booklets. During our art periods we have made free hand letters for the farm booklets.
Lorna Mae Nolte is the first one to have her dental card signed. The dentist found her teeth in perfect condition.
We are making picture booklets in connection with our picture study.
The visitors are as follows: Elsie Kiesau, Jeanette Woods, Bernice Fiet, Junior Snitker and Donald Snitker.
