Rural School
Notes, 1935
French Creek No.1, Margaret Larson, teacher
Our sixth month of school was completed on February 22
with a 100% attendance for the month.
We have an enrollment of 10 pupils. Five of these have
attained a perfect attendance record for the year thus
far. Their names are Arla, Johanna and Lewis Ebner, Ruth
and William Welper.
The members of the eighth grade are busily engaged in the
task of reviewing for their county examinations to be
given in May. We wish them success in their efforts.
Willard Verthein received an average of 100% in
arithmetic for the last period of six weeks, having had
perfect daily grades and also gaining a 100% mark on his
examination.
During the past month we have observed St. Valentine's
Day, Lincoln's Birthday and Washington's Birthday.
Miss Dorothy Leppert was an afternoon visitor at our
school on St. Valentine's Day.
At the present time there are four pupils who have their
names on the Dental Honor Roll. They are Arlene
Ashbacher, Arla, Johanna and Charles Ebner.
