Des Moines in the Services
Five nurses, all graduate of Iowa Methodist hospital here, have been commissioned second lieutenants in the army nurse corps and now are stationed at Camp Carson, Colo. They are all members of the Red Cross student reserve corps. The women are:
Theresa Gabrielson of Boone, Ia.; Joyce Bremer, of Charles City, Ia.; Alice Lucille Maxfield of Albion Ia.; Laura Janes of Renwick, Ia.; and Ethel Geake of Wall Like, Ia.

Theresa Emma Jean Gabrielson was born Mar. 24, 1923 to Henry Carl and Emma Christina Peterson Gabrielson. She died Feb. 21, 2005 and is buried in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado, Grand Junction, CO.
Theresa was part of the World War II Cadet Nursing Corps at Iowa Methodist Hospital, Des Moines, IA. She served in the Army Nursing Corps in World War II.
Theresa married Chris Gust Neofotist on Apr. 24, 1947 in Atchison, KS.
