Lt. John B Wise Killed in Pacific
Mrs. Betty Votruba Wise, 415 Fifty-ninth st, received word last week that her husband, Lt. John B Wise, a navigator on a B-24, was killed Mar. 2 over Formosa. He would have been 24 today.
His sister, Virginia, now the wife of Capt. J.M. Fletcher, named her son born Friday night at Washington, D.C.

Lieutenant Wise is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wise, sr., Des Moines. He was a graduate of Roosevelt high school and attended Drake and Missouri universities before going into service three years ago. He had been overseas six months. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Anne Colley, Des Moines.

John B. Wise, Jr. and was born Mar. 31, 1921 to John (Sr.) and Pearl Swartz Wise. He died Mar. 2, 1945.
Lt. Wise served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps.
