Gale Jacob Tiernan was born Nov. 14, 1921 to Matthew and Martha F. Chew Tiernan. He died July 7, 1944 and is buried in Harlington Cemetery, Waverly, IA.
Pvt. Tiernan served in World War II with the U.S. Army and died in the service of his country while building camp.
