Richard Selby Thacker was born July 24, 1919 to Marion Elwood and Della La Plant Thacker. He died Jan. 11, 1945 and is buried in Epinal American Cemetery, Dinoze, France.
Sgt. Thacker served in World War II with the U.S. Army 94th Reconnaissance Squadron, 14th Armored Division and was KIA in France and awarded the Purple Heart.
