Robert P. Samuelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. R J. Samuelson, 2404 Geneva Street, was recently promoted to fireman first class after completing a course in diesel engine training at the naval training school, Richmond, Virginia. He is spending a 10-day leave with his parents before reporting for duty on the east coast.

Robert served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.
