Vernon Elston Stone was born Oct. 12, 1922 to Clarence Clayton and Olive Annie Kahl Stone. He died Dec. 15, 2010 and is buried in Cass Center Cemetery, Webster City, IA.

Vernon served with the U.S. Air Force in World War II.
