Our Neighbors in the Services
Pierson, Iowa – Technical Sergeant Darrell W. Sproul, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Sproul of Pierson, was reported missing since May 25 in the north African area. He received his training at Shepperd field, Texas, Lincoln, Nebraska, Uendore, Utah and Salt Lake City. He has two brothers in the service, Wilbur Sproul, chief petty officer in the navy at South Boston and Forest Sproul, at the army technical school at Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
