Pvt. Norman J. Sawyer, has departed for Fort Ord, California after spending a 12-day furlough with his wife and children, 1202 Court Street. He recently completed his basic training at Camp Robinson, Ark.

Pfc. Norman J. Sawyer, 1000 S. Alice Street, who took part in the Pacific campaigns on Leyte in the Philippines and Okinawa in the Ryukus is now with the American occupation forces in South Korea.
Pvt. Sawyer has been in the army 15 months. His wife Goldie, two children and his father, Jay Sawyer, reside at the S. Alice Street address.
