Robert Emil Sandin was born Nov. 18, 1918 to Evald and Frances Sandin. He died Apr. 18, 1945 and is buried in IOOF Cemetery, Indianola, IA.
Lt. Sandin served in World War II with the U.S. Army 250th Anti Aircraft Battalion and died in Finchaven, New Guinea while in the service of his country.
