Robert Richard Rawlins was born Mar. 17, 1913 to Arthur and Edith B. Edgar Rawlins. He died Apr. 20, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, North Africa American Cemetery, Tunis, Tunisia and has a cenotaph in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.
Pvt. Rawlins served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 32nd Photographic Squadron, 5th Reconnaissance Group and was MIA/KIA while in the service of his country.
