80 Kossuth Men Officially Listed As Casualties In War
FIRST RELEASE OF STATE HISTORICAL DEATH SUMMARIES
Eighty men from Kossuth county lost their lives while in the service of their country in World War II.

Declared dead after being missing over Italy 2-17-44.

Erwin M. Rahe was born Oct. 19, 1912 to Joseph Henry and Mary A. Kramer Rahe. He died Feb. 17, 1944 and is buried in Zachary Taylor National Cemetery, Louisville, KY.
Sgt. Rahe served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 446th Bomb Group, 745th Bomb Squadron and was MIA/KIA in Italy.
