Ashton, Iowa—Mr. and Mrs. James Roth of Ashton received word that their son, Private First Class Verne J. Roth has arrived safely in the southwest Pacific recently. His brother, Private First Class Kenneth W. Roth is stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Kenneth William Roth was born Mar. 22, 1919 to Joseph A. and Catherine Winkel Roth. He died May 30, 1999 and is buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Cypress, CA.
Kenneth served in World War II with the U.S. Army.
