John William Roland was born Sept. 2, 1920 to Ralph W. and Anna G. Roland. He died Nov. 20, 1944 and is buried in Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands.
Pvt. Roland served in World War II with the U.S. Army 333rd Infantry Regiment, 84th Infantry Division and was KIA in Germany. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
