Raymond Glen Phillips was born July 26, 1917 to James Franklin and Abbie I. Nevinger Phillips. He died June 10, 1944 and is buried in Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, Colleville-sur-Mer, Normandy, France.
Lt. Phillips served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 328th Fighter Squadron, 352nd Fighter Group. He was MIA/KIA near Lisieux, Calvados, France. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Air Medal, and Distinguished Flying Cross.
