Sawyer Gail ‘Gail' Musgrove was born Jan. 29, 1915 to Samuel A. and Ruby A. Sawyer Musgrove. He died June 17, 2006 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.
Gail served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

S. Gail Musgrove, 91, of Webster City, died Saturday June 14, 2006 at Southfield Wellness Community. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Missionary Alliance Church, with Rev. Bill Keller officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church one hour before the service. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post # 191.
Sawyer Gail Musgrove, son of Samuel and Ruby Sawyer Musgrove, was born Jan. 29, 1915 at Boone, Iowa. He received his education in the Gilbert school system. During W.W. II, he served with the U.S. Navy. He attended Ames Diesel and Welding for one year. On June 15, 1950, he married Marjory Romaine Pischel at Glidden. The couple farmed in the Boone and Clarion areas. They moved to Webster City. He worked at Vegors Enterprise as a machinist fabricator. He then worked at Modern Farms and retired from Mertz Engineering in the late 80’s.
Gail is survived by wife Marjory, sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Carol Musgrove of Grand Prairie, TX; Ted and Debra Musgrove of Carroll; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Jerry Stout of Laurinburg, NC; Connie and Rick Blue of Warsaw, IN; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Lysle Musgrove of Ames; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clair Musgrove and sister, Mabel McDonald.
