MISSING IN RAID
Technical Sergeant Thomas J. McHale, 41, has been reported missing in action in a raid over Germany on March 4, his mother, Mrs. Louise McHale; 1601 Ingleside Avenue was informed by a telegram received Sunday.
An aerial gunner, he had been stationed in England since the first part of December and in his last letter, dated February 28, wrote that he had completed over half his missions. At that time he was in a rest camp.
Sergeant McHale was a graduate of Central High School and attended Morningside College. Before entering the service he held the position of publicity director for the East Texas chamber of commerce. His wife resides in Dallas, Texas.
A sister, Helen, and a brother, Martin, are residents of Sioux City. Another sister, Mrs. B. I. Van Patton resides in Spencer.
