Two marines, Warrant Officer John L. Mazur and his sister, Corporal Rose C. Mazur, recently obtained furloughs at the same time and visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Mazur, 411 S. Fowler Street.
John enlisted January 13, 1942, and only recently returned to this country after 23 months in the South Pacific. Rose joined the Marine Corps Women’s Reserve August 16, 1943, and now is in Marine Corps personnel department, Washington, D.C.
Two other brothers of the Mazur family obtained furloughs from the army at the same time. They are Corporal Joe A. Mazur of the chemical warfare service at Camp Sibert, Ala., and Private Frank J. Mazur of the armored division at Camp Polk, La.
