Capt. John Lyon, Native of City Ends Visit Here
Capt. John D. Lyon of the United States navy, with Mrs. Lyon, their daughter, Maile and son, John D. Lyon, Jr., who have been guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson T. Clark, 200 Cook Drive, departed today for their wartime stations. The family formerly resided in Sioux City, and Miss Maile Lyon has been a guest in the Wilson home for the last year.
Capt. Lyon, who is a graduate of Annapolis Naval Academy, was born in Sioux City and grew to manhood here before going to Annapolis. He came here on leave before Christmas from Washington. The son is taking training at the navy school in Pasadena, California and will return there. Capt. Lyon, his wife and daughter, will go from here to Buenos Aires, Argentina, which will be Capt. Lyon’s new post of duty.
