Clarence Meredith Horner was born June 13, 1911 to Charles and Delia Ham Horner. He died Dec. 17, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Lorraine American Cemetery, St. Avold, France.
Pvt. Horner served in World War II with the U.S. Army 137th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division and was MIA/FOD/KIA on a patrol mission on the Blies River in Germany and was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
