Adrian Herschel Helland was born June 16, 1912 to Oscar O. and Olive Jacobson Helland. He died Dec. 20, 1992 and is buried in Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, CA.
Chief Petty Officer Helland served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Idaho (BB-24) and with the Naval Air Facility, Adak, Alaska. He also served in Korea.
