Emmetsburg, Iowa
Thomas Hand of the marine corps has returned to San Diego, Cal. after spending several days at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hand. He has finished his boot training and when he arrives at San Diego will report to the sea school recruit base for further training.

Thomas Ronald Hand was born Feb. 6, 1915 to John Francis and Kathryn Frances Higgins Hand. He died May 10, 1948 and is buried in Saint Josephs Cemetery, Mahnomen, MN.
Thomas served with the U.S. Navy in World War II. He was living in Emmetsburg, IA at the time of his entry into the armed services.
