Purple Heart Awarded to Kenneth Horner
Word has been received by friends and relatives of the award of the Purple Heart to Kenneth Horner, seaman first class in the Coast Guard.
Wounded somewhere in the South Pacific, he is now convalescing in an Australian hospital.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. John Horner, 411 George Street, residing at present in San Francisco, he has been in the service nearly two years.
Seaman Horner is a Central graduate.
