Our Neighbors in Service
Whiting, Iowa – Ensign and Mrs. Justin E. Hopkins visited at Whiting and Sloan, coming to see Sgt. Delbert W. Hopkins, who has returned after 19 months service in the European area. It was the first meeting for the brothers since Christmas, 1942, when Sgt. Hopkins entered service.

Delbert Wesley “Wesley” Hopkins was born May 25, 1921 to Bryan W. and Ethel I. Waterman Hopkins. He died Dec. 14, 1994 and is buried in Whiting Cemetery, Whiting, IA.
Sgt. Holmes served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
