Fireman First Class Fred T. Hollmer, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred T. Hollmer, former Sioux Cityans who now live in Seattle, Washington, recently graduated from the naval training school at Ames, Iowa. He has been transferred to the Philadelphia navy yards.

Fred T. Hollmer, jr., stationed in the South Pacific for the last 12 months, has been promoted to the rank of motor machinist’s mate third class, petty officer. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. F. T. Hollmer, 203 Vincent apartments.
