Loran Wilson Garnes was born Nov. 24, 1921 to Joseph Wilson and Anna Catharine Schwartz Garnes. He died Jan. 12, 1945 and is buried in Highland Cemetery, Bayard, IA.
Sgt. Garnes served in World War II with the U.S. Army Co. A, 62nd Airborne, 14th Division and was MIA/KIA in France.
