Captain Marvin Joseph Frum Company C Sends Escort to Rites of Capt. M. Frum
Company C of the Iowa State Guard here Monday afternoon sent a military escort to the funeral held for Capt. Marvin Frum at Danbury, who was killed Mar. 5 in flight on the west coast.
The services were held for Capt. Frum in the Danbury high school auditorium. Burial was made at the Danbury cemetery. The escort was in command of Lieut. Charles P. Denison. The firing squad was commanded by Master Sgt. James Nicol and was composed of Corp. Burow, Corp. Bossard, Corp. Rogers, Corp. Kiertzner, Pvt. Johannsen, Pvt. Weber, Pvt. Wilson, and Pvt. Henrick. The color bearers and guards were in command of Sgt. Tom Irvine and was composed of Corp. Pullen, Pvt. Jacobsen and Pvt. Hilker. Pvts. Jacobsen and Hilker acted as the guards, and the other two as color bearers.
The cremated remains of Capt. Frum were accompanied to Danbury from the west coast by Capt. James C. Clarke of March Field, Calif.

Marvin Joseph Frum was born Oct. 20, 1919 to Millard Joseph and Sarah Leola Canty Frum. He died Mar. 5, 1943 and is buried in Liston Township Cemetery, Danbury, IA. Capt. Frum served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps. Source: ancestry.com
