Donald Frederick Fish was born Oct. 19, 1920 to Charles Frederick and Madge Carolyn Perry Fish. He died Jan. 22, 1945 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and has a cenotaph in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lime Springs, IA.
Lt. Fish served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 69th Fighter Squadron, 58th Fighter Group. He was MIA/KIA/FOD on Mindoro Island and awarded the Purple Heart.
