Eugene Basil “Gene” Crees was born July 19, 1919 to Clyde A. and Lulu I. Ward Crees. He died Sept. 11, 1944 and is buried in Maple Hill Cemetery, Osceola, IA.
Cpl. Crees served in World War II with the U.S. Army, Troop A, 113th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron, Mechanized and was MIA/KIA in Belgium.
