WM. COSGROVES, of DOAN, HAVE THREE SONS IN SERVICE.
Doan: John Cosgrove, son of Supervisor and Mrs. Wm. Cosgrove, left Friday morning with eight boys from Wesley, Iowa, for Des Moines for army entrance examinations. John has two other brothers now serving their country; Donald Cosgrove in Alaska in the coast guard and Andrew Cosgrove in the Navy.

John Henry Cosgrove was born Apr. 9, 1912 to William Stephen and Thora Caroline Johnson Cosgrove. He died Jan. 28, 1964 and is buried in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Wesley, IA.
John served in World War II with the U.S. Army 26th Tank Battalion.
