Robert Pershing Cooper was born Sept. 29, 1918 to Charles Clarence and Maude Ione Seeley Cooper. He died May 15, 1943 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands.
Lt. Cooper served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and was MIA/FOD/KIA when his aircraft crashed into the North Sea near Borkum Island. He was awarded the Air Medal and Purple Heart.
