Colwell Promoted to Yeoman First Class
Willis Colwell, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Colwell, has been promoted to Yeoman, first class, at San Diego, Calif., where he is stationed. Willis is at the Naval Air Station and works in the personnel office of Lt. Comdr. Gregory. Willis graduated from the Algona High school in 1936. Her studied at Capital City Commercial College at Des Moines, and after graduating there, he was employed at the Master Craftsman Jewelry Co. at Des Moines. Two years ago he enlisted in the Navy, and took his boot training at the Great Lakes Naval school. Following his boot training he was sent to San Diego where he has been ever since.
