Louis Leon Claeys was born Nov. 30, 1914 to Julius and Augusta M. Claeys. He died Apr. 8, 1943 and is buried in North Africa American Cemetery, Tunis, Tunisia.
Cpl. Claeys served in World War II with the U.S. Army 135th Infantry Regiment, 34th Infantry Division and was KIA in Tunisia, Africa and awarded the Purple Heart.
