Dean Maurice Christeson was born Feb. 5, 1917 to Andrew and Frances Mary Dundun Christeson. He died May 29, 1977 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery, Webster City, IA.
Sgt. Christeson served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Dean M. Christeson, 60, lifelong Webster City resident, died Sunday morning at the Hamilton County hospital where he had been a patient for 13 days. He had been in ill health for two years.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic church with Father Joseph A. Sullivan officiating and with burial in Calvary cemetery.
A rosary service was held at 8 o’clock Monday evening at the Foster Funeral home.
Dean M. Christeson, son of Andrew and Frances Dundun Christeson, was born Feb. 5 , 1917, in Webster City, where he was reared and educated.
On Oct. 1, 1941, he was united in marriage to Mary L. Schmitz, and he entered the U.S. armed services in 1942, serving until 1946. He returned to Iowa and had since engaged in farming.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters and two sons, Mrs. Joe (Loretta) Buscher, Jr. of Altona, Mrs. Richard (Dorothy) Coyle, Mankato, Minn., Dr. David D. Christeson of Davenport, Mrs. Steve (Mary) Struchen of Webster City and Stephen A. Christeson of Webster City; and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother and three sisters: Don Christeson of Webster City, Mrs. Howard (Marguerite) Wright of Iowa Falls, Mrs. Warren (Catherine) Laneville of Iowa Falls and Mrs. Albert (Ruth) Koolhof Jr. of Webster City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, who did in infancy.
Mr. Christeson was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic church and also a member of the Iowa Beef Producers association, the Farm Bureau, and the Farmers’ Union.
