Sherman J. Charlson was born Dec. 25, 1904 to Lewis and Lena Charlson. He died Nov. 26, 1973 and is buried in Mamrelund Cemetery, Randall, Iowa.
Sgt. Charlson served with the U.S. Army in World War II with the 331st Engineers, 1339th Engineers and the 546th Ordnance Field Artillery.
