James Rodney Chalfant was born June 12, 1916 to Walter D. and Sadie Gerber Chalfant. He died June 17, 1992.
Lt. Chalfant served in World War II with the U.S. Army 48th Surgical Hospital, 4th Army; 95th Evacuation Hospital, 2nd Army; Anti-Tank Company, 253rd Infantry, 63rd Division; and Company F, 116th Infantry, 29th Division.
