Charles Rollin Buffington, III was born Sept. 23, 1919 to Charles Rollin and Irene Marie Griggs Buffington. He died Apr. 11, 1943 and is buried in Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, IA.
Lt. Buffington served in World War II with the U.S. Army 45th Division and died at Camp Pickett, VA while in the service of his country as the result of a plane crash.
